The last time I needed - as in actively - a chronograph…
Was over 30 years ago, when I was regatta sailing. And a quartz Casio did the job perfectly well. Mechanical chronographs were never primarily about the function for me and much more about the looks. Have I activated them more often for the feel of the pushers than for timing something sensible? Absolutely. Am I happy to have a couple - likewise absolutely 😊🤷🏻♂️

I have absolutely no practical use for them.
However, like them a lot. Not all of them though, but only those with beautiful movements and transparent backs to see them. Lange, Montblanc Minerva, Lemania 2310 would be perfect examples. Otherwise - I guess people like their sportier look, but hardly ...
Occasional real use so guess mostly for the cool then?
Not like any mechanical watch in this day and age is really very good at its job compared to very cheap alternatives Still like them though so whatever the heart wants i guess.
