I don't have a scale to put the watch on, but to my mind, it weighs about the same as my IWC Minute Repeater in platinum, but feels definitely lighter than an earlier Portugieser Platinum model I was interested in a few years ago. I really liked that one ...

I find the evolution from the first perpetual calendar by Kurt Claus (Da Vinci) in 1985 to the Eternal model truly fascinating. I'm deeply impressed by the watch's suitability for everyday use. Unlike, say, a Patek Caliber 89 or a Franck Mueller Aeternita...

Yes, I’m truly grateful to my AD for letting me “test drive” the IWC Eternal Calendar before making the final commitment. I did have to place a deposit, but it was fully refundable had I decided against the watch. That said, the moment I had it on my wris...
