As Patekova said, more a journey than destination. Through this journey, I discovered many interesting horological " places ", sometimes disappointing, like in any journey. But mandatory experiences!
What do you see when you reflect on your watch collecting journey?
Is there a destination in your mind, or is it all a mirage? ...
For me it's a return to simpler, more affordable watches
Same for cars and many other things in life. Value for money, affordable luxury and generally streamlining and letting go to make my life simple.

I have moved lock stock barrel to artisanal watches. I love the efforts made by these artisans and every artisanal watch represents their sweat and toil into the finished product. I still buy the odd Rolex though.
