If this was decades ago, i'd say ask for a light polish and for them to be careful around the case markings. Alas, times have changed and so do not allow PP to polish the case. There are stories about... and I see someone already chimed in with their situation of PP case polishing.

This is exactly my impression as well.
Mind you, these technicians are highly skilled. Their ONLY job is to polish watches. Still, it is done āFree handā at The Patek service department. No jig or tools to help precision. - and itās shows in the end. You will have no doubt.

Agree with everything said here and also, a dealer can polish it if they really want to at a nominal cost so even if PP did a perfect job, it wouldn't be worth that much more in trade

Spoke to few dealers on minute repatersā¦ this will take timeā¦ not easy to getā¦ but will keep trying.
A watch is only unpolished once in its life. No explanation or story needed.
