Polishing my 5712G…
thanks everyone for their information and help in advance...
i have a 5712G that requires service and i want to use the opportunity to polish it, by sending it to Patek. the watch has been with me for more than 10 years... it has some minor scratches but also one ding.... i want to know if Patek will use laser to refill the metal as they polish it, or they just brush to the lowest level possible?
i don’t have an experience so i thought to ask before i send it...

To me, battle scars represent your
journey and I would not polish it. You are the owner and you decide what make you happy Let us know your decision.
I agree with the general sentiment. Your watch can only be unpolished once.
Service the watch ask them to not polish. You know the history and the fact it is unpolished. If you ever let it go the next owner can be assured it is unpolished and not polished once twice or more. Good luck.
