I think Watch collectors prefer to get a worn watch in an unpolished state, because it‘s still got full material and sharp edges. Even if they want to have it polished, they‘d usually rather buy it in an unpolished state to see the defects it‘s got and then send it out to be polished themselves. However, for these kind of models, that are very popular not just amongst watch collectors, I also see a lot of successfull offers of serviced and polished watches. According to a watch dealer I‘ve been talking to it seems, that there are a lot of customers for these models, that are not really into watches in general, but want one because of their popularity and those often prefer a „good looking“ polished version. Still, I‘d sell it unpolished. If you‘re the first owner and you‘re sure it‘s never got polished, you should also mark it as „never polished“ or „unpolished“ when selling it.
