Given your needs, any Q would do the trick..
For a one and done, it would come down to focal length preference as both Q3 offers the 28 and the 43.
If you’re a 35mm shooter, the 28mm Q3 is actually the safer bet. You can crop into a 35mm field of view and still have 39MP of detail. If you go with the 43mm, you’re stuck with a tighter view and can never go wider than 43mm.

My main “concern” (if mi may call it so) is how different is the perspective/look of pictures cropped from say 28 to 43 versus taken directly into 43? Is that a major concern or something that is not really visible?

Your style is street. and I think a Q would cause alot of intentionality in terms of carrying kit. The Ricoh GR IV gets raves from folks I know who use it. If it were me, I'd get as small as possible AND get a full frame to boot
