. . . without video clips?

I've been playing 3-ball for fifteen years. In all that time I've tried several different breaks as well as break cues. Last Wednesday I trotted out the latest break shaft Bob made late last year from padauk with a Kamui hard tip.
This was the result.
Talk about flukes. For comparison, here's an unconventional backdoor break made with a low-deflection maple playing shaft and a very soft Kamui tip.
My cue maker had knee surgery a few weeks ago . . .

That is an impressive amount of Snake Wood
Most all cues I have ever seen with Snake Wood have only used it as inlays. I have rarely ever even seen true points made from Snake Wood.
Bob's memorable comment was that snakewood could crack . . .
. . . just by looking at it. And you're right about the dearth of snakewood cues . . . not easy to find, with most relegated to relatively small sections, in contrast to the Denali's forearm. Art
Spoke with his daughter a little while ago; his progress isn't as far along . . .
. . . as expected. Bob can barely walk with a walker. My other friend who had knee replacement the same day is now walking easily with a cane. She has three more weeks on family leave . . . we're hoping he's ok to be on his own by then.
