2025 Audi RS6 Avant GT.
Will have 4.0 twin turbo with 621 HP,
AWD and a top speed of 190 MPH.
That ought to get your kid to the soccer
game on time.

And 3, 3 secs for the 0 to 100 km/h. And circa 11 seconds for the 0 to 200. Not bad for a two tons car.

Until you get to know the price...

"Final pricing for North America has not been released, but Audi confirmed that the special edition will be sold in Germany for the equivalent of just under $235,000. Audi said deliveries will start in the spring."

230, 000 Euros in France. + 60, 000 Euros taxes. Remind me how much is a 911 GT3?

In the US, a base GT3 starts @ $183,000 and we all know how much they really are selling for...😉

Yes, but still, less expensive, way less expensive than this new RS6!

 By: amanico : February 6th, 2024-16:57

But, they are not comparable cars as each offers different values.

You are either in the market for a very fast two seat sports car or a very fast five seat station wagon.

Well, the 911 can be a four seats...

Oh, I am sorry. I thought you were talking of the GT3. Mine only has two...

Yep!

Here they are together:

Yes, this one was in the press release...

I drove a friend's RS5...

 By: mdg : February 6th, 2024-16:46
...the acceleration was...adequate : )

I looked at the 2024 model at $125,800

 By: cazalea : February 6th, 2024-16:53
but what amazed me (beyond the aggressive look and stance) was the aggressive pricing! Every color but flat gray was extra, and to have red stitching and a few options list price came to $155,000. It does look the part though... a bit meaner than the special edition with flamboyant color splashed all over it.

Cazalea

The price increase is ( only ) partially justified because of the many carbon parts, but still...

 By: amanico : February 6th, 2024-16:55

They are not that many...

Front fenders and hood. The standard RS6 is quite alright if you can keep the options low but there is no indication if there will be a plain (non-limited) version for 2025.

This is the last RS6, if I got it well.

Correct.

Damn, that is gorgeous. Much better than the 85 piece edition.

Top speed EU continent countries.

Very fancy...

So...  Mercedes E63 AMG S or Audi RS6 GT?  Both are great for highway and daily driving duty, but because they both lack a dry sump oiling system, they wouldn't survive track usage if you take the turns at high speed (the oil will be all sloshed to the side of the engine and the pumps on the bottom of the engine won't be able to get any oil to spray to the critical wear points of the engine).

Dry sump or not, they are both as heavy as a truck. Not really meant for track driving.

Agreed!

And with the traffic and speed limits here in USA, these machines would be choked by the 120 KPH speeds we drive on our roads. The speed limit is around 65mph or around 105 kph. I don't know about you, but here in Northern California, I imagine the police would be stopping you at 130 kph. Which makes these wondrous machines very difficult to enjoy on the roads!

Average freeway speed in SoCal is about 80

I drove 300 miles last weekend at 65-70 to see if I could squeeze 30 mpg out of my Ridgeline, and cars were blazing past on both sides! Speed limit is ignored since Covid and the Highway Patrol is rarely seen.

Ahh! Here in Northern California, I think I'd get a ticket at 80 mph.

Safe driving! 30 MPG!!! THat's fantastic for a Honda Ridgeline!
