In my memory all women looked roughly like these two girls β¦
At a USC party I heard a guy complaining that USC girls wore bras but the girls at UCLA didnβt β¦ a USC coed retorted βthey donβt wear bras because they donβt need them; they donβt have enough to fill one!β OUCH
Indeed Brother Bim, but they say fashion comes full circle, so waiting for the modern 70s style to be back in Vogue again, we saw that with the Cubitus ;-) hahaha
At first glance I thought there was a Citroen SM in the background (in my defense the pic is a bit blurry that far out). That would have made it even cooler π
Yes. In Toyota-speak a TE-27. Enthusiasts nicknamed that particular model Mango. Corollas had been using 1200cc engines but in 72 (maybe 71 1/2?) Toyota offered an optional

2-TC 1600cc motor which I opted for. Oddly it was OHV. Iron block, aluminum cross flow hemi head. It red lined at 6000 rpm and was happy to go there. The 4sp transmission shifted like butter and had fantastic synchros. Top speed was just a tick over 100mph. It had enough torque to provide a bit of throttle induced oversteer in lower gears and it handled well. I improved its styling with a bit of black paint here and there and added a methanol-water vapor tank. My 2nd car but my first car bought new. I loved it and felt it was a fine poor man's Alfa GTV. ;-)
It looks amazing, I've seen its four door cousins running around in the 80s and some even in the 90s, its the predecessor to the Toyota 86, another fine sportscar which is like a fine poor man's Alpine A110
Same DNA as these. The first two have the same Toyota-Yamaha engine as the AE-86 but flipped around and moved to the center (gray one was supercharged), the 3rd one is a legend (my cars). To own the fourth one I'll need to win the lotto. lol !
Indeed all these models have Legend status, how cool is it you had a Supra, a great car, was it manual? A new addition to your list is the Lexus LFA, HAGWE
Yes my MKIV twin turbo had the Getrag 6 speed. And the LFA is certainly another grail car from Toyota. Have you ever heard one in person? That F1 derived

Yamaha V-10 makes some of the sweetest automotive music I've ever heard on its way to 9000 rpm! Winning lotto ticket required for that one also. ;-)
Unfortunately no, but saw one parked outside the Panasonic Tower in Kuwait City in a unique mix of goldenish green color with a light cream interior, looked insane
Thanks Larry! It was the beginning of my era of shorter hair with a bit of styling. Looking back on that pic now what I see is Foo Man Fawcett! Ah, to be young again!
