5110 vs 5130
Hi everyone, I am just wondering do the 5130 use the same movement as the 5110?
I am getting a 5130/1R for my husband, and can't find any stock available so far.. Still waiting for the Boutique to get back to me. While I was there at the boutique, I had a chance to compare the two model 5110P vs 5130R, size wise is a huge difference hence I am wondering the 5130 comes with new movement? I forget to ask the sale rep while I was there. I was comparing it to a 5110P which is a platinum vs a white gold.. Most importantly, I LOVE the 5110's deployant clasp! The 5130's hands looks special.t
Wondering what are your thoughts on these two models?

The movement is the same in both the 5130 and 10.
The 5110 is maybe a tad more refined, with its impressive dial, while the 5130 is bigger, maybe easier to wear... All depending on the size of the wrist.
You can't go wrong with any of these.

5130R all the way...
It has a warm feel that you will rarely find in another watch. You gotta to admire the dial under the sun, it will look totally different.
Also, its not big, the problem with 5110P is that it feels really small, even for a woman's wrist, if you ask me.
I don't think its a matter of wrist size but more of personal taste. Some people like vintage watches so much, that their eye get used to the small sizes, sometimes they can go for an even smaller watch if they love it... Even though it will look ridiculous on their wrist. Egoistic kind of love
You know your husband better than us, but if you ask me, i'd go fo 5130R, it just feel nicer.
By the way, its a very nice thought of you, lots of guys here are living the opposite situation, wives breaking on their watcholic pulses

Both are fantastic watches...
Both are fantastic watches. They both have similar movements.
The 5110 was the previous model, followed by the 5130 (current). The 5110 is a tad bit smaller than the 5130.
Which one would I get? My favorite is the 5110P, the platinum version has the beautiful blue center dial in a traditional guilloche fininish. The 5130 looks great in the rose gold and platinum variants especially well.
You can't go wrong with your choice, but if you can get one in platinum, I'd go for that one. Lastly, the 5110 is made in a size suitable for women, whereas the 5130 is too large for most women. So if you ever wanted to share a watch...

Both are really great.The 5110 in my opinion is easier to read the time because of the simple and elegant hands.

A month or two back looked at all options and decided the 5110 fit my wrist better and was easy to read the time. The city writing was not so much different between either versions that it made that much of a difference to me. Of course that is a personal preference and it is truly an outstanding timepiece. It is akin to preferring Rembrandt, da Vinci, Dali , Monet... All alre quite impressive!
