Panerai reference 911. This one was offered to me just before Angelo Bonati retired. It’s very special to me for a lot of reasons. Have a wonderful day everybody. Thanks for looking, T.

You know it’s a great watch when just seeing the caseback excites (!)

I totally understand your love for this reference my friend. It was good to see it on your wrist this week! I tend to wear my PAM more in the summer on my side

I didn't know it was made for Paneristi!

I was in love with this brand for a while. You may have noticed the "AB" engraving for Angelo Bonati.

You have to give him kudos for what he did to bring that company to life

Dr Bonati took the brand from the catacombs and made it all the way to...main street. So my hat off to the man. During his tenure, he had to make some decisions that turned out to be less than popular with the grassroot Paneristi. As a top executive of the company I used to work for, I would have done everything he did (oh well, maybe not everything) or worse, in order to achieve what he did. He had to get rid of a cumbersome Panerai's history in order to sell watches TODAY. All of this, as usual, represents my PERSONAL opinion.

I haven't had any relationship with Bonati...

I met him in person, 3 times. Two during Florence boutique's functions, in the shop. One when I attended the gala presentation of the new Panerai 2 model. In that occasion I actually asked him to "swap" watches. He gave me his Panerai 2 and I gave him the 373 I was wearing, for the occasion. When I saw the "2", I was absolutely sure it would be a success. He wasn't very good at answering questions though. Of 3 or 4 I asked, he smiled and nodded 3 times and gave me a monosyllabic answer to the 4th. And that's all she wrote smile

LOL. That's all him. ;)

as a matter of fact I've never known where she was actually born. She was an orphan and grew up in an orphanage in Venice. back in those days (end 1800/beg 1900) records were sketchy to say the least (or so I was told)...
