from your authorized AD would you do it? It is not inexpensive and not that wearable from the photos and corresponding comments I have seen and read here.
What are your thoughts?

And i really dont care what others have said, i find that sometimes people on this forum just dont understand and maybe dont respect me, which is ok, because i dont live for others nor to impress others, they can have their 2 cents say all they want, but i live for myself, and for my God whom i love very much, and that is all that matters.

Expensive and unwearable. Not on the top of my list at the moment, although don't get me wrong - I would love to have it

Regarding the 'chance' to purchase, I have a feeling this one will be available because I doubt that all the people that pre-ordered it realize the fact that they will not be able to wear it. Or perhaps they have other intentions? (bad move IMHO)

If you already have the Pam 127, 217, 232 and 249, so, in this case, you should consider it, in an historical point of view.

Then you'll have to hunt the Compass Pam 191 to go till the end of this thema.

If you don't already own these pieces, it is not worth it, IMO: Too expensive and unwearable, as you said it perfectly!

As part of a collection, it makes sense. Otherwise, it's yet another replica and not faithful enough to be really interesting. That said, I can see why it's so appealling.

To me, only a real one would hold any interest.

And if I sell all my possessions, I could consider it. In any case, I have timepieces that size...but they're made of plastic...

...on my personal list in terms of desirability.  Certainly the Egiziano is an interesting piece and reflective of a historical design from the Panerai archives, so it's not an unworthy pickup IMO, just not one for my personal collection.

I had the chance to try on my wrist the original Egiziano ref. GPF 2/56 and, believe me, is far too large to be worn. The new Egiziano is surely a great piece but I would never buy a watch that I can't wear. My very personal opinion, of course. 

But I am sure some will get a few...as for me it depends what irons I have in the fire when I get offered it and what I think of it actually in the flesh...I wear my vintage B-Uhr at 55mm for fun some weekends and love it...kind of out there but I can pull it off...not many can do that though...for me to buy it I will wear it for fun on occasions...I won't just own a watch to put away...they all get worn

While I like the watch, I wouldn't buy it because I find it unwearable. I tried it on at SIHH, even on the outside of my jacket, and it just looked too big.

I can see the attraction though for someone who wants to have a complete collection, even if they never end up wearing it.

not buy it as I feel that it is too big for my wrist.....

However this is just me.... others feel otherwise...
for example Stephen has ordered his ( I think the only confirmed buyer) and he says that he is going to wear it....
If he enjoys it, great for him..... at the end of the day what really matters is what you enjoy wearing....
What is right for me might be wrong for someone else.....but this is the reason that we have so many choices.....

And totally agree, it's the buyer/owner whom the piece belongs to and if it satisfies him/her, that is just about the ONLY thing that matters.

What?! Am i the ONLY confirmed buyer? Lol, well i think out buddy Alepos is eager to get his as well. But man i don't believe it only as few as us have jumped on the Egiziano.... lol don't you guys love the watch!?

I really do but...

I tried on the Prototype and it just doesn't work on my wrist. I wouldn't wear it.

However, the design is otherwise stunning.

Hopefully, it will be reworked in a 47mm version. If so, I want to be first in line!!!

This is what creates a Myth and I appreciate that Panerai is cultivating the past to build the future.
I ordered mine but I decided not to try the watch (the samples) before. I want the shock unfiltered.

It is so unique and i am sure it will spend some wrist time.
