All the Rolex watches I bought through the years are mostly steel sports models; never imagined that I would end up buying a gold Day-Date one day. I must be maturing… hopefully with grace.
40mm is an interesting size, just nice in my opinion and the president bracelet is incredible; top notch design and very comfortable.
There’s not much discussion on this model in the forum; thoughts?
I too love the DD40, and yours is a beauty with grace.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, I know what you mean by "maturing" I have a YG with black dial diamonds. (Yup, solid YG for mature wearers indeed. ha!) While all DDs look beautiful, I did find that with some models, the background dial colors and hand colors were so similar it was difficult to read the time. Not much contrast. Yours is a great example of clarity. Wear it in good health. The precious metal bug has bitten you.
Thanks Thomas! The olive green is very nice and hard to come by these days.

I never knew about the technical advances until you mentioned. Did some Google research and this is amazing. 14 Patents is a big deal and who would have thought Rolex would pile that into the Day-date 3255 caliber. Have a great weekend.
