Each quadruplet has its own characteristics and charm and I love each equally.
Having studied them, my observations (which I mentioned previously) on the enamel dials are:
· G: most colors (which is an important point for an enamel dial IMO) and best color gradations out of the four
· P: best overall heft on the wrist with an enamel map that has fewer colors and is more subdued
· R: warmest overall combination (of the case and enamel colors) that strikes a superb balance
· J: bright yellow matches the green and brown very well, and these colors compliment the J case
In terms of emotions on the wrist(s), each 5131 is different:
· R evokes most emotions because it has both North America and Asia, two continents that my wife and I spent lots of time in, while Asia was where our children were born. Hence, I am merely looking after it for my kids and wearing it in the meantime ! So which child should or will get the R ? What criteria should I use ? Perhaps I let them prove to me who is worthy ? LOL !
· G has Asia & therefore the other child will receive this piece. Since G also has Europe in the dial, maybe the eventual owner will spend more time in Europe ?
· J with North America is meaningful to me and my wife. Hence, J will therefore go to either her or me. As a smart husband, I will let her decide !
· P has the North Pole and is the ice king. Hence, depending on who is more “icy” with the marriage, this person shall become the ice king or ice queen ??!!
· What are your thoughts of the quadruplets ?
I am in honeymoon with my grail set now. What will come next ? I cannot imagine because there are no more limbs and kidneys to sell. LOL !!
Yours truly,
"Enamel Slave/Addict"
