Watches and Wonders 2021: Tudor Black Bay Fifty Eight Yellow Gold and... Silver!

An interesting offer, here: The daring Black Bay Fifty Eight in yellow gold:

And in silver!

none

Both have the good taste to be in 39 mm, as silver and gold weight quite a bit. So, for me, it is a good idea.

While the yellow gold is cool, here we have another green dial.

The silver is colder but more my taste, with its taupe dial.

Both come with a see through case back. Both are water resistant to 200 meters, and bot house the in house automatic movement.

none

I find both of them much more interesting than the Rolex novelties.

I just regret that absence of a BB GMT with a 39 mm case...

Best,

Nicolas

Nice green dial! 😂 You are probably right - adding this and the chronograph models Tudor has done a good job this year! Cheers, Peter

Not a big fan of green and gold... It always seems that the Bay gets more attention than pelagos...but it’s not as good a watch IMO...

Well, not so sure. From time to time we have quite a lot of interesting discussions on the Pelagos.

Silver looks smart. But I'd prefer a closed back. Movement is not particularly pretty.

+1 The display caseback also increases case thickness to 12.7mm, according to the Dink. Cheers Marc

I have to agree. This is the detail which disturbs me a bit, too.

I wished to come back to the Rolex Explorer II 216570 white dial, which is certainly not a new model, but which still has a special place in the Rolex catalog almost 10 years after its presentation at the 2011 edition of Baselworld. In fact, there are two fundamental reasons that explain its singularity. The first is its aesthetics and the second is related to the nature of its movement. Clearly inspired by the 1655 reference as evidenced by its third orange hand, the Rolex Explorer II 216570 white dial remains ...
