I am speechless. I need more pictures. And details about it. Lots of details.
I ordered the steel model with the grey dial (assigned the number 12)
The first time i visited Akrivia and had a AK06 on my wrist it was true love . And back then i had a amazing time with Rexhepi and his team . I knew i had to have one of his watches at some point. Luckily i was one of a few who could get a RR CC but i knew if possible i would love to add a AK in the near future🙏🏻. There so amazing and beautiful . True masterpieces. If possible please show us a side by side with your other AK 🤗
Congrats on the pick up. Its an incredible piece. Just like you i tried to get a CC but missed out. After meeting RR and seeing the AK-06 in person I decided to pull the trigger. I've got the same AK-06 on order, hoping to get delivery in Oct/Nov - its been a long ~9 months waiting for it. When it lands I'll post come pics.
But I have studied the one single picture shown here and I observe two specialties that really surprise me. But first of all to what separates a craftsman from a mediocre technician; finish. I notice hands on the very highest level, with all respect to Roger Smith, these hands are as beautiful as his. You will also know that I hold frosted finish higher than Geneva stripes. In this case the frosting is combined with prelate on the lower plate on the dial side, I am not sure if I like that combin
The only thing I’d bring to your attention are the hands. While they are quite nice, Roger’s are on a higher level IMO. They are 3 dimensional, but Rexheps’s hands don’t have that depth. I welcome your additional comments and appreciate the opportunity to learn more about this beloved discipline of watchmaking! Take care!
