This year, Angelus re edited the Tinkler, a Quarter Minute Repeater.

The original:

The 2026 version in steel, limited to 25 pieces,

The gold version, limited to 15 pieces.

38 mm case, a dial which is very faithful to the original which I like a lot, an automatic movement which offers a quarter repeater, sounding the hours and quarters but NOT THE MINUTES, here are the main characteristics of this watch.

I couldn't find photos of the movement, alas. This is a 70 hours movement.

Via the pusher at 9 o'clock, you activate the Quarter Repeater. You know me, I couldn't resist and I played with it...

Good surprise, the sound is rich, pleasant but a bit low... The regulator is not noisy at all. Very good.

As for the price, 45K Euros for the steel version, 22 K more for the gold version.

A regret? The fact that they are both limited editions. And I wold have preferred a round and more discreet pusher at 9.

But all in all, a very good surprise, aesthetically and acoustically.

Best,

Nicolas

Very nice dial, really.

I agree with you that the pusher could have been designed more subtly. But the price is really stiff... Best, Emmanuel

Well, compared to a minute repeater... High, yes, but still.

Yes, you're right.

That said, if the movement is shown nowhere, I imagine that it is because it isn't highly finished and visually striking.

THAT is exactly what I wanted to see... Or for acoustical reasons?

An Unfortunate name for the model for an otherwise attractive watch

Why unfortunate? After all it is what it does, isn't it?
