I was curious about the new Offshore and so went to try one on, in this case the full ceramic blue black version. I think the blue makes it more fun and sporty, but less versatile, than some of the others, like the taupe dial. In reality, the blue is more muted than appears in the pictures. The blue strap would be great for the summer but personally I would wear it on the black rubber strap to tone it down a bit. The interchangeable strap and buckle system is the best I have seen. Even better (less fiddly) than on my Overseas chronograph.

It’s obviously a large watch but it wears really well. Despite the angle of my pictures, in reality it fit comfortably on my wrist and the ends of the lugs were no where near the edges of my wrist. My 14 year old daughter was with me and it even fit on her wrist pretty well, without overhang. It’s a very impressive piece of design to make a large watch fit so well.
Needless to say the fit and finish of the ceramic were amazing. AP seem to be real masters when it comes to working ceramic.

All the best,

Jon

Attractive and fun piece.

Your pics and comments nicely showcase this cool offering. Other pics sometimes make the blue look comically (and cheaply) toy-like, but your pics are quite the opposite. Actually, I feel that on a black strap the watch does become a little more versatile beyond a weekend or “summer” watch, but your point is well taken.

Thanks, as I say, I think in real life it’s an even more subdued blue than in my pictures.

Maybe a black alligator strap could make it even more versatile.

Thanks Salman.

My daughter says she doesn’t like watches! I’m hoping that will change as she gets older. Take care Jon
