Monopole, a long-time collector, shares his initial impressions of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 26420IO. This article explores why this particular 43mm model, featuring the integrated chronograph movement, finally compelled him to add an Offshore to his collection after years of preferring smaller Royal Oaks. His detailed photographs highlight key design elements, inviting the community to delve into the nuances of this contemporary reference.

This is a familiar colour-way in 44mm for many years. And for some reasons, I never pulled the trigger until today.

Admittedly, this is my first AP ROO as I have always preferred the smaller sized Royal Oaks and also, I was holding out for the integrated Chronograph movement to be available on the Offshores.

Here it is and thanks for looking.

And look at the Rotor !!!

The polished grey ceramics result in layers on the bezel.

Great looking watch!

Congratulations. If I were to get an ROO it would definitely be one with a ceramic bezel. All the best Jon

Looks awesome šŸ‘šŸ¼

I have the 44mm in this color way and wonder whether i’d prefer the 43mm if i had to make choice. I particularly like mine on the deep blue strap that matches the subdials.
