Hello,

I am a long-time Lange collector and lurker here: I really enjoy the forum, hearing about each of you, the magnificent photography and - of course - seeing your magnificent Lange pieces!

Here is a photo of my current Lange family. I go for pink gold - I find it beautiful, warm and classy. I always pair it with mahogany Lange OEM straps and the simple pin buckles.

I started as an 1815 collector and fell in love with the model family from the very start. It's just very sweet to me.
  • The 1815 three-hander was my first piece - I had the OG model in 36mm and now have the 38.5mm model shown here. Those blued hands! Works brilliantly with a white shirt and blue suit.
  • The 1815 Up/Down is my favourite piece right now. I like the origin of the complication's planetary mechanism from the in-house patent and also the echo of the subdials with the 1815 Chronograph.
  • The 1815 Chronograph, of course, has my favourite caliber: the astonishing L951.5. Mine has the latest revision to the escapement wheel bridge. A striking piece with the best pusher feel of any chronograph.
  • The Richard Lange is the precision play in the collection. With the in-house balance spring and the dual-tensioned wheel in the centre-seconds drive-train to eliminate flutter - it's a quiet delight. Best rate accuracy.
I hope you enjoy the photo and I look forward to participating in the forum.

Best regards,  aviya.

About the A. Lange and Söhne Emil Lange Ref. 1815

The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 reference 206.032, introduced in 1999, is a notable example of the brand's commitment to traditional watchmaking principles. This model is part of the 1815 collection, which pays homage to the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange and emphasizes classic design elements such as Arabic numerals and blued hands, drawing inspiration from historical Lange pocket watches. It represents a more understated and purist aesthetic compared to some of the brand's more complex offerings, focusing on fundamental horological excellence.

This particular reference features an 18k rose gold case measuring 36mm in diameter and 7.5mm in thickness. It houses the manually wound L941.1 caliber, visible through a sapphire crystal case back. The movement provides a power reserve of 45 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal on the front, protecting a solid silver dial. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters, suitable for everyday wear but not for immersion.

The 1815 206.032 appeals to collectors who appreciate classical proportions and a focus on fundamental watchmaking without excessive complications. Its smaller case size reflects a more traditional approach to men's wristwatches, making it a desirable piece for those seeking a discreet yet highly refined timepiece. The combination of rose gold and a silver dial offers a warm and legible presentation, consistent with the collection's historical inspirations.

4 fantastic watches from Lange. For me it would be difficult to choose between the chrono and the RL. Keep enjoying all of them. Br, Dirk

Just gorgeous! The very first Lange I became enamored with was the Richard Lange you have. Any thoughts on acquiring something from the Saxonia family?

Beautiful collection, and I must say you have a great eye for the 1815 family. I'm especially partial to the 1815 Chronograph, what a watch!

I also own a WG 1815 three hander and it's such a fantastic watch for basically any occasion that doesn't require WR.

Thanks for sharing it with us, and I look forward to seeing more of these watches. The Up/Down was my first Lange love, followed quickly by the Zeitwerk. I still very much gravitate towards those two watches when I walk into a Boutique.
