Amanico embarks on a personal journey through the 'wonderful universe of Breguet,' sharing his evolving appreciation for the brand's diverse offerings. His curated selection, ranging from historical pieces like the 1775 Subscription watch to modern icons such as the La Tradition and Type XX, invites the community to reflect on Breguet's enduring legacy and its contemporary direction.

The Breguet Classique reference 5177 represents an automatic entry within the Classique collection, distinguished by its 38mm case proportions and rose gold construction. This reference utilizes automatic movement technology within the traditional Classique aesthetic framework.
The 38mm case is crafted from 18k rose gold and houses an automatic movement. The silver dial provides contrast against the warm gold case material. Sapphire crystal protects the dial surface, while the watch maintains 30 meters of water resistance. The bezel design remains fixed in position.
Reference 5177 appeals to collectors seeking automatic movement functionality within traditional dress watch proportions. The 38mm case size positions this reference for those preferring mid-sized case dimensions, while the rose gold construction and silver dial combination offers specific aesthetic preferences within the broader Classique automatic range.

There are a number of real charmers in the classique collection, the enamel moonphase 7787, for example. Modern Breguet's insistence on following in A.L. Breguet's footsteps as an innovator points to models such as the classique chronometrie 7727, which won the grand prize at the GPHP the year it was unveiled. However, one thing we are missing is Breguet's real strength in women's watches. The Reine du Naples and in the classique and marine lines there are amazing women's watches with excellent
From the collection of this year.
...one which is 200% Breguet DNA and that I find absolutely stunning the ref 3137 (same as 3130 but with sapphire case back and skeleton movement). Actually my podium would be 1775 (Indeed superb and understated as I like), 3137 (white gold case even if other metals have a lot of charm too on this model) and of course… your Pt Type XX
