After 15 years in the watch collecting hobby, jack johnson makes a significant acquisition: his first Breguet, the Type 20. His initial impressions highlight the watch's exceptional execution, comfortable wear on a NATO strap, and the intentionally industrial decoration of its movement. This article delves into jack johnson's detailed review and the community's insights on this notable timepiece.

Believe it or not, this is my first Breguet, 15 years into this hobby. The execution is top notch, and on Nato it wears not dissimilar to a Speedy. The movement has a rather industrial decoration I understand they did this on purpose to stay within the sub 20k price range - the base caliber I think is a 5hz fly-back movement also found in some Blancpain watches. The elephant in the room is an anti-purist inclusion of the date at 4:30 but I can live with that. Overall I am quite please with this acquisition and who knows maybe other pieces from this mark will follow.

But I am too illiterate for that - need to improve my knowledge of the vintage scene first Looking at all Perezcope posts about doctored vintage pieces sold on auctions nowadays makes me nervous

It has a more tool watch look from the previous version.

Agree, I appreciate the case as well. Well executed, mostly brushed and with polished bezel and lug sides - it just works. I like your classic version as well!

A date only bothers me if it's white while the dial is not white. As for the position... it's doesn't botter me it's even sometimes better between 4 and 5 then at 3
