Nicolas, known as amanico on WatchProSite, shares his initial impressions of the Cartier Privé Tank Chinoise from Watches and Wonders 2022. He highlights why this particular reference stood out as a showstopper, praising its design elements and limited availability. His perspective offers a valuable first look at a significant Cartier release, contextualizing its appeal for collectors.

You can say what you want, there is, for me, a winner, here, with the Cartier Privé Tank Chinoise.

In platinum and or in gold, you cannot go wrong, both of them are exquisite. 100 pieces, each.

What I like so much with this watch:

- Its case size: 39, 49 x 29, 2 mm. Exquisite.

- Its open worked dial, with some lacquer. Sublime.

- The manual winding movement, from Piaget, with a short power reserve ( 38 hours ) but We have seen worse...

Here is the press files, showing the jeweled version ( platinum ) limited to 20 pieces.

Which I could see through the window display...

I think it is one of my 5 favorite from this year.

Best,

Nicolas

People who enjoy art at home, stay only in grand hotels, fly private jet, do yachting ... I feel soooo redundant now! 😀

The YG Chinoise Skeleton is $65500, vs the German Ti $56500...I rather take the German + the balance on the Destro Sprite )
