SJX provides an exclusive look into the newly reopened Cartier boutique in Singapore's Ngee Ann City. This report details the extensive redecoration and new layout, offering readers a virtual tour of the luxury space. SJX highlights how the boutique aligns with Cartier's global aesthetic while showcasing its impressive local collection.
A couple of days ago the Cartier boutique in Singapore’s Ngee Ann City just reopened after extensive redecoration. The prime space located in the front of the shopping mall, facing Orchard Road, has been reworked to bring it in line with other Cartier boutiques. The same materials, colours and textures, like the chocolate carpets and fabric wall panels, found in other Cartier stores are now found here.
Now each floor of the two level boutique caters to one gender. The second level contains jewellery, ladies’ watches as well as the bridal salon with its white, floral-themed displays.

Stunning high jewellery is also on display, including a peanut-sized diamond ring.

The famous panther

The latest Cartier fragrance, lily-scented Baiser Vole is also available here.

The second level also houses a private room with a small Cartier library.

The first level is a more compact space but has everything for men. In the centre sits a C-shaped array of display cases with the entry to mid range watches, including some of the discontinued Collection Privee Cartier Paris watches, like the classic Tortue Monopoussoir chronograph and the Tortue XL day and night watch.

Above the watch display hangs the chandelier also found in other Cartier stores, except it is not a chandelier but rather crystals hanging from the ceiling with the lights in the ceiling, giving the appearance of a chandelier.

One particularly interesting watch is this limited edition Cloche (French for bell) watch made for the Cartier boutique in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia. It’s a limited edition of 30 pieces with an opaline guilloche dial and purple numerals and minute track. The pink gold case, crown and buckle are set with diamonds. If the CPCP were still around this would be a CPCP watch; notice the flower-shaped guilloche on the centre of the dial that was trademark of the CPCP.

At the corner of the room sits the Fine Watchmaking salon, which is essentially a display of watches from the Fine Watchmaking collection, as well as a table to view them. Note the embossed decoration on the table and tray to match the watchmaking theme.

One of the newest Fine Watchmaking timepieces to arrive is the Rotonde skeleton tourbillon with diamond bezel.

For those who like diamonds the Calibre de Cartier is also available with a diamond-set bezel, in white gold.

Behind this men’s accessories are displayed. Pens, cufflinks, belts and the like.

As always there is something for everyone.

Hi SJX, great report of may be the most beautiful Cartier Boutique in Singapore! I was amazed to see the collection of CPCP models and that LE of the Cloche for Kuala Lumpur; gorgeous ladies watch. Together with the Fine Watch Making models, the collection is very impressive in Singapore. GEO
unfortunately. The vintage items tend to be more frequently found in London, Paris and NY. - SJX
The coverage of the watch dapertment is impressive and envious! Thanks for the reprot - another place to visit when I go to Singapore (don't know when, though ) Ken
It's all part of building the brand. The one we visited in Ginza was pretty big too. - SJX This message has been edited by SJX on 2011-12-04 21:59:40
Singapore, as you noticed, has a reasonable selection. - SJX
