
Last year, I decided to celebrate my birthday in Geneva so I took my partner on her first ever trip to one of my favourite cities. I love Geneva not only due to the obvious attractions but for the scenery of the surrounding mountains and Lake Geneva. It is also a very safe and clean city relatively
) and wears it on special occasions even though arguably it would be the perfect daily watch. But such is her appreciation of this work of art and her meticulous care for it (I take the total blame for my influence over her!) that she feels wearing it daily would not give the watch the respect and accolade that it deserves.
At least I don't think so But I love the tiny bezel, the simplicity of the dial, the blue hands and the ornate crown. Thank you for your comment.

I had no idea that Cartier made watches with enamel dials. This only strengthens my belief that Cartier made wonderful collectible watches in the 20th century!
Cartier is the design king, and the Tortue may be the nicest. This is a fine example.
