The Chopard watch fairy arrives early one morning, and grants you a wish to own any Chopard watch model, past or present. However, as nearly everything good in life comes with stipulations, this one is no exception. The fairy explains that the watch you choose must meet the following and you must give your promise to abide by a few conditions.
While you may pick any model, in any metal, you must not sell the watch. Ever. Never ever.
The watch must be serviced every 5 years, to be paid for by you . Thus, while you may be tempted to choose a custom Chopard that has 46 tourbillons, a Westminster Chimes complication that plays 'Stairway to Heaven', and is able to microwave a small sandwich, servicing this beast may cost more than a new Corvette; so keep that in mind
The watch must be worn at least one day a week, for life; no “safe queen!” Pick something that you know you’ll wear and enjoy, and not just a ‘pretty face’.
So that’s it, you’re allowed to pick your Chopard under those conditions. That said, what's your choice?
For me, I think it would have to be this 2015 stunner:
Chopard LUC Quattro platinum blue Ref. 161926-5001. 43mm, platinum case, blue sunray dial in solid gold, Geneva seal movement, 9 day power reserve
Tell her to reserve a LUC 8HF for me, either colour combination works just fine And if she is freshly out, I could also very much imagine the Tech Twist in black and orange (LE of 20 for a Spanish watch forum), the LUC 1963 PuristSPro Edition Chrono or the LUC XPS PG in platinum with a blue dial. And your choice is a close runner up Now I know my chances with the Chopard fairy are between slim and remote but gave many options just in case

But I totally share your point about service costs... We should really more often think about that before buying a watch... Best, Nicolas
You could say that I'm already living my dream with this Chopard watch... L.U.C 1963 Chrono PuristS Edition AND Beer: Perfection ! The current Mrs MTF chooses this from the Fairy... L.U.C 1963 Chronometer Platinum If I was pushed, I choose this real enamel dial L.U.C 1963..... L.U.C 1963 Tourbillon with REAL enamel dial Regards, MTF
What he said.... (And great pic of the PuristS Edition Chrono with beer!) Best, CaliforniaJed
