I think they are awesome but not sure they will do what FPJ did. His styling definitely appeals to more crowds IMO. Personally I would rather go MB&F than DB because of the mix of classic/contemporary design. I think RG does it better too.
To answer your question, NO. And now that it's part of the entire Watchbox scheme, I do expect there to be clever inventory management.
they're great in design, use of materials but I think they don't cater to broad enthusiasts like FPJ.
Now, a collection isn’t complete without a Journe or two. Just my $0.02 Hussam
I confess, DB is nice. FPJ is nice. DB is more my thing, due to the modern cutting edge design. FPJ watches gone through the roof, so they are so exclusive, a normal watch guy can not get the hands on it. DB not cheap either, feels the opportunity to get one is more realistic. Albeit i am more a man who want something like Vacheron Constantin, AP, and let’s say Ulysse Nardin. Welcome.
imho, just the diversity ofJourne is wider & complete vs DB, from a simple time only CS/CB to Astronomic Souveraine. the same you can think of when it comes to case size, metal and the choice of timepiece for a variety of dress codes. DB is extremely fun but too narrow - imho.
