Chicolini's decision to fit an OEM De Bethune textile strap on his Skybridge model sparks a compelling discussion among collectors about strap choices for high horology. This article delves into the community's diverse opinions on how best to complement a watch with such a distinctive case and dial, highlighting the subjective nature of pairing straps with independent watchmaking masterpieces. Readers will gain insight into how different strap materials and colors can dramatically alter a watch's aesthetic and perceived formality.

Now, to be even more honest, I am so captivated with the case and dial, who cares? WOW, incredible watch!
I'm thinking of ordering the same strap in fact. I think it's the perfect casual strap, less aggressive than black, blue might have been just a lot of blue, textile more casual than leather, and really, when there is so much going on with the watch itself, a well made but toned down and neutral strap I think is a perfect compliment. More importantly, how do you like it?
I'm not convinced about the strap with it, IMO...
It seems a bit like fitting high profile tires on a sports car - functional yes, but? That blue moon is fantastic!! Cazalea
Personally, I like it on a fabric strap but black would look very good. Let the dial do the talking !
I always go for the most flamboyant option, so the strap isn't to my taste but you have an amazingly awesome watch! Really awesome!! Here are some cool straps i found, my fav is the 47 ronin or japanese strap with fabric inserts in leather! 47 ronin straps
