The Ferrari 458 Italia, introduced in 2009, represented a significant evolution in the brand's mid-engine V8 lineage, succeeding the F430. It was positioned as a high-performance sports car, blending advanced technology with traditional Ferrari design principles, and was available in both coupe (Italia) and retractable hardtop (Spider) configurations.
Powering the 458 Italia is a naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 engine, producing 570 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, driving the rear wheels. The chassis incorporates an aluminum space-frame, contributing to a dry weight of approximately 1,380 kg. Braking is handled by carbon-ceramic discs as standard.
From a collector's standpoint, the 458 Italia is notable as one of the last naturally aspirated V8 Ferrari models before the widespread adoption of turbocharging in subsequent generations. Its high-revving engine and direct driving experience are often cited as desirable attributes, contributing to its sustained interest in the secondary market among enthusiasts seeking a purer, unassisted Ferrari performance experience.
.. I was watching F1 at the age of 9 until 15 or so. I was soooo into those "Super Cars" around the same time. Ferrari was a difficult car back then, even starting the engine. So did Langorghini. Now you have to wait for a long time for the delivery of these "Super Cars". Sans sufficient bank account, it is not the case for me and I feel fortunate that I have already graduated from "Car Craze" days :-) Ferrari did evolve a lot, and F1 cars as well. Just remembered meeting Jean Alesi last Friday.
Thanks for sharing these photos! We'll have a Ferrari FF mini-review coming up soon.
Did you have the opportunity to drive it? Thanks! Fx
Had a short experience in it, but snapped a few pictures and got a good impression. A very nice family car, and I'll have a little write up in the Hublot forums in a few weeks. Stay tuned. But I really find the new 12 cylinder sports car to be beautiful. And thanks for the pics. Always a pleasure to see this beauty.
Strange to see the top of lugs of this watch as it 'seems' to display the Anonimo brand logo... I am sure it they were unaware of it when designing those lugs ;-)
It is funny because somebody from Hublot told me during the same evening that Anonimo found a new investor! Coincidence! ;) Fx
