This year is the ten years anniversary of the Cat’s Eye collection.
In honor of this Girard-Perregaux releases an Anniversary edition of the Cat’s Eye.
Two dial versions, one in black dial/white diamonds and one white dial/red diamonds.
The Cat’s Eye collection was launched ten years ago, but in fact the very special oval shape has been with GP ladies watches for a much longer time than ten years.
This was some of the watches presented by GP in Basel back in 1971. Recognize the shape?
The oblong Cat’s Eye shape is quite unique, but the shape of the case is not the only thing unique...
The dial, instead of applied indexes there are applied shimmering rays, each ray ending with a diamond…
– Diamonds are a girl’s best friend!
And when it is mounted on something beautiful as the Cat’s Eye…
The black version has a polished onyx dial and 73 brilliant cut diamonds.
The white has a mother of pearl background, same rays but instead of diamonds, there are 73 brilliant cut sapphires.
To frame these dials there is a 62 brilliant cut diamonds bezel.
The crystal is slightly doomed to give an even more enhanced 3D look.
Case 35.44 x 30.44 mm in white gold.
Inside is an automatic movement: GP03300. 28,800 vph / 4 Hz, 27 jewels, Power reserve 46 hours. Only showing hours and minutes.
So, what can I say…
One for the warm summer’s day picnics…
One for the evening cocktail party with a matching “little black dress”…

from the gems setting, to the movement, the sapphire glass, the case, etc. Looks very impressive indeed. Thanks for sharing Blomman. This message and cache will self-destruct in 10 seconds.... before SheWhoLikesBlingBling seems them cheers robin
A jewel for our Jewels. Very interesting link with the Past you found, Blomman. Best, Nicolas
....for a second there I was wondering whether you meant "YOU" in a little black dress.
Yes, and since your lady already got the taste for the Cat's Eye... I would be careful if I were you! ;) Thank you, my friend Best Blomman
And others have started to take the ladies serious. Not long ago, it was almost impossible to find a nice ladies watch without a quartz movement inside... Thank you for your input, Robin. Hope "SheWhoLikesBlingBling" doesn't find this link...! ;) Best Blomman
