In fact, I was looking for this Watch for myself...

A friend of mine got it for me, brought it in Paris, I was starting to check some points and my daughter, back home, took the Watch with her and thanked me for having found a nice Watch for her.

She's 9 years old, I feel a bit guilty to have contaminated her with watches, since she already wors on HER wish list... A certain blue and red Rolex ( Traduce GMT ), and a diving Watch.

Yes, yes... It is all about genetics.

I think the hands are not good for this model, and that the diving bezel is certainly missing, unless I am totally wrong... But she's so happy with it that I couldn't refuse giving it to her.

Here it is...

I am quite surprised to see her falling in love with such a vintage Watch. A serious look, well patined, not in super condition, well, for a first Watch, not an evident one.

But she's going fas!

All the best,

Nicolas

But that they have SUCH a good taste, I didn't know! Great catch, huge congrats to your daughter! :) What is the reference of the watch? I think the hands are OK. Have a look at this ref 7897: I have seen other versions of the hands (diamond shaped lume), but I suspect yours to be an early version with only half filled hands. Hard to tell from your photos, but is the rotating bezel really missing? From this angle it looks more like the same as on early S. 58 without rotating bezel. Best and agai

The hands are not really a problem, I have more doubts about the bezel. It doesn't look it is missing, and yes, I have the early S 58 in my mind, but not sure GP did one without the bezel. Best, and thanks for your kind words, my good friend. Nicolas

The ref is often hard to see, you need to use your loupe... Normally when the bezel is missing there is an edge holding the bezel on the case and the bezel left on the case is much lower and flat. This looks more like a normal angled bezel. Best, my good friend Blomman
