Today I like to share two shots of a 1950’s Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic with faceted bezel.

The dial has turned into a magnificent dark chocolate patina!

This was once Girard-Perregaux way of making a matching pairs of His and Hers watches.

If we zoom in you can really see the different facets:

The facets in combination with the deep dark chocolate patina make this a delicious piece!

Now if only the hands would have the creamy patina as well...

Ah, vintage GP offers some really sweet caramels!

You captured it very well. This one is quite difficult to take in photos. I will need to get it serviced, esp. the case needs some cleaning and light polishing. The hands have lost their lume indeed, but I may get them re-lumed. You have the brochure? And you didn't share that with me ??? :) BTW: here is another example with lumed hands as they should be. photo credit to the WWW. CC
