While not as widely recognized as some contemporaries, this reference showcases Girard-Perregaux's commitment to robust construction and functional design within its collection. It stands as an example of the brand's approach to a durable, everyday timepiece during that era, appealing to collectors interested in the evolution of GP's sport watch lineage. It is part of a series that explored various interpretations of the Sea Hawk nameplate.
This reference typically features a stainless steel case, designed for resilience. It houses an automatic movement, reflecting the standard for quality mechanical timekeeping. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, providing scratch resistance and clear legibility. Its construction emphasizes durability, making it suitable for active wear while maintaining a refined aesthetic. The case dimensions are characteristic of sport watches from the period, offering a substantial presence on the wrist without being overly large.
For collectors, the Sea Hawk 7100 offers an opportunity to acquire a well-engineered timepiece from a respected manufacturer, often at a value that belies its quality. It appeals to those who appreciate the less-hyped models from established brands, particularly from the 1990s, a decade that saw significant innovation in watchmaking. This reference contributes to a broader understanding of Girard-Perregaux's output beyond its more celebrated complications and historical pieces, highlighting its consistent production of reliable and well-finished watches.
LOL.... That would be an endless post! All the best, Nicolas, impressed.
blue in near future :) Bravo my friend very happy Yours Damjan
.. like the Blommanisation, with that Vintage/ single seem-strap ! The patina is great, but the blue insert, that does it for me ! Although, honestly said, I also liked the prev. bracelet; A very nice combo ! Enjoy & wear this combo in the Best of your health ! My very best, hs
The GP divers is a very interesting theme: It starts with the Sea Hawk, transforms into Deep Diver, later to go back to Sea Hawk! :) Best Blomman
You will ruin me! ;) Thank you, yes this model has a very important position in the GP Divers history, IMO. This model markes the changing point from the vintage divers to what the modern Sea Hawk is today! :) Best Blomman
Picking up pieces here and there to (hopefully) build a timeline collection! ;) Thank you, my friend. Yes, the bracelet is very nice, but I am not much of a bracelet person.... Best Blomman
