Nicolas (amanico) presents a compelling visual comparison of the Girard Perregaux Tourbillon Minute Repeater with Gold Bridges across three distinct metal executions: titanium, white gold, and rose gold. This post invites collectors to consider not just the aesthetic appeal of each, but also the nuanced implications of material choice on wearability and horological performance, particularly for a grand complication like a minute repeater. His personal preference for the white gold's blue hands, despite the titanium's comfort advantage, highlights the complex decision-making process for such a significant timepiece.

A masterpiece, for sure. But which one is your taste?

I would usually say titanium, because it is a big and thick watch, so the comfort would lead me to prefer titanium, but I prefer the contrast of the blue hands from th white gold version.

You?

Best,

Nicolas

If the titanium came with blue hands they'd have a perfect reference. A better sound for the repeater and a better experience on the wrist for the owner. That's currently not an option so my vote is WG

both titanium and white gold mix white and yellow. white gold and blue is the better cold metal version. however between these 3 ,I prefer the rose gold

I feel the hands here are more harmonious than in the blue version. And the watch is lighter and more โ€žunder the radarโ€. What about the sound quality? Is titanium a good transmitter? Best Thomas
