Nicolas (amanico) presents a visual comparison of the Girard Perregaux Vintage 1966 Enamel in both white gold and rose gold, challenging the community to consider which metal best complements the exquisite enamel dial. His post highlights the subtle yet significant impact of case material on a watch's aesthetic and perceived character.

Here you have the same dial, font, and hands. Only the color of the gold changes.

Colder or warmer? Both are sublime.

Personally, I prefer the white gold. But it is just a matter of taste. You can't really go wrong, here.

Best,

Nicolas

but to me the white gold seems to enhance the striking beauty and clarity of the dial, whereas the other gold seems to detract from it. Like I say, only my opinion.

Both watches are great but I prefer the Gold, it looks more luxury. But if you wish to keep a low profile then the white is preferable. Great looking timepiece!!! πŸ’Ž

The red gold provides better contrast, IMO. That is my preference. Can’t go wrong with either, though. Cheers Drew

I am usually do not have necessary a 'white metal' condition....I like both rose and yellow gold.... but in this case, the white gold fits better the 'understatement'....just my thoughts.

Very hard to choose. They both have their merits. The white gold is cool and discrete, but the enamel dial does add some sensuality. The rose gold is warm and more sensual. I prefer white metal, so I would go for that one. I do wish the bezel on this piece was slimmer to add some more elegance. Cheers, John
