KIH offers an exclusive look into the Greubel Forsey boutique in Ginza, Tokyo, the brand's only standalone retail space globally at the time. His detailed photo report captures the essence of the high-horology pieces on display, providing a rare opportunity for enthusiasts to experience these intricate watches up close. This visit highlights Greubel Forsey's strategic decision to establish its first boutique in a market known for its deep appreciation of fine watchmaking.

This is the only boutique in the world for Greubel Forsey.  I wasn't aware of this place in the middle of Ginza - but of course, this is newly opened.

Perhaps there is no other place that has more Greubel Forsey than this place on display, and can touch, handle....

Ken, Excellent visit report. I always envy those reports, because when I visit a boutique I'm so attracted by the watches that I forget to take pics. Cheers, Nilo

and I am surprise how good they look on you, especially the Signature and the Double tourbillon technique. Aren't they a fair bit bigger than the Moritz Grossmann Atum/Benu you reviewed a while back? But somehow they look the same in size, circumference wise.

.. and thick, but it doesn't look THAT big on wrist.... But I may like the smaller Signature 1 or Double Balancer..... Cheers, Ken

I mean, there are many watchmakers today living and having previews from Dubai, the 5th av. in NYC is still one of most appealing places in the world, like place vendome in paris...just to mention some famous locations where GF could have placed their first boutique. Am i wrong if i think that they've received the most positive feedbacks (in terms of feelings and revenues) from japanese collectors? i'm still missing tokyo among the asian cities i've visited, so sooner or later (but i'll need at

With its long watch loving history, depth/ breadth, and long-time grown sophistication, Swiss brands have been seeing Japan market in that context. So, to me, it is not surprising at all that they chose Tokyo as its first boutique. May or may not very much succeed. Maybe expecting also travelers like you. I am not trying to be cocky here, but try to give you the historical facts, as I felt a bit insulted by your remark (no offense taken, of course). Japan is not watch lovers' heaven for just a d
