Aperna's captivating photograph of his Grönefeld 1941 Principia offers a moment of horological appreciation before a meal, inviting fellow collectors to admire the independent watchmaker's distinctive aesthetic. This post serves as a testament to the enduring appeal of Grönefeld's craftsmanship and the personal connections collectors form with their timepieces.

I never realized you had a Gronefeld. Did you know that I lived in the small town (Oldenzaal) where they are made.
Talking of individuality, all across. Enjoy Tony!
A refreshing watch design. And - of course - matching your jacket. 😉
The entire ensemble is fantastic 😀
One of my favorite independents.
The individual components of this watch and it’s overall combination effect are striking beyond compare, IMHO. I particularly love their unique straps and how they thoughtfully pair them with their dials. May I ask, how did you decide to go with this turquoise dial instead of salmon or light blue? Was it availability or how it fit in with your collection, or other? Wear in best of health!
