Flamenco shares an exclusive report from an intimate collector's meetup in Singapore with Tim and Bart Grönefeld, showcasing their acclaimed timepieces. The post highlights the brand's commitment to quality, finishing, and innovation, featuring the One Hertz and Parallax Tourbillon models.
Gronefeld has captured the imagination of collectors the world over since the introduction of the One Hertz. Capturing the GPHG tourbillion crown was a certainly the icing on the cake, and speaks volumes of where Tim and Bart's vision for the company.

Have been dying to see the watches in the metal, and my wish was well and truly fulfilled....... Both Tim & Bart were in town (Singapore) for a very intimate meet up with collectors, and I was fortunate to be part of the event.

Watch makers through and through, their passion and enthusiasm was plain for all to see. In conversations with them, the words "quality", "finishing", "innovation" were free following. A testament to how their creations have been conceived thus far.

Bart is a great presenter and a humourous one at that, well done !
(btw, that is Grand Daddy Gronefeld on the presentation)
The magnificent Trio that was on display ! Steel Parallax , RG One Hertz , RG Parallax (L to R)
Fabulous on the front ...

Sublime at the back. Very nice croc strap btw ...

Up close and personal. The RG Parallax is the actual piece that was submitted to GPHG for Jury scrutiny.
The RG case lends itself very well to the overall case design and matches the tourbillion. The blue hands stood out against the largely sand blasted silver dial. The toubillion cage and seconds hand rotate in synchrony (ie Parallax) , thus the name of the timepiece. A unique winding and time setting system in which the crown is pushed instead of pulling. An ingenious single arm cage, that stops the tourbillion during time setting.
A very clear and concise dial layout , a very handsome and simple looking watch. Which belies its numerous innovations !

Finishing on the stainless steel bridges is flawless. Touch of modernity , yet beautifully finished in traditional methods.

The RG One Hertz is no less mesmerizing ... Dead beat seconds , that ingenious winding and time setting system. THE watch that got all our attention.
And the case back of the One Hertz is arguably the better looker !

1 Case, 2 faces, 2 metals , 2 very unqiue movements .... One can most certainly identify with a Gronefeld now.
No small feat , considering its a young company.

Some mandatory wrist shots.

Wears extremely well and comfortable for its size (43mm) on a 6 1/2 " wrist.

The one thing that Bart emphasized over the course of the night ... the Parallax is meant to be a daily wear.
Tend ot agree with him. The watch is robustly made, well finished, and most certainly sized to sit on the wrist for many hours.

With that, I like to Thank Tim & Bart for being gracious hosts, humourous hosts .... Great Folks that you want to hang out with.
And to wish them further success with their fabulous journey (more GPHG accoldaes in future, perhaps)

Very nice photos that captured the watches and their beauty very well.
...and great watches ! Thanks Rob
I saw the Parallax and 1 Hz in Paris last week and they are surely very high hend watches. I also prefer the 1Hz's movement in term of style but the parallax is of course very interesting, especially the synchronisation display. Thanks for sharing :) Cheers, Mark
