The folks at Hublot had a busy day April 19 in the Big Apple. Following an epic grand opening of the 5th Avenue boutique, guests of Hublot rolled into the Guggenheim for an event to be remembered.

Hublot has scheduled a series of events celebrating “10 Years of All Black.” With events from London to Tokyo, New York was the latest venue in the ongoing global celebration.

Upon entering the Guggenheim, guests were greeted by a pre-release glimpse of the new Big Bang Unico Sang Blue designed by internationally acclaimed tattooist Maxim Buschi.  The watch is a formidable work of art worthy of display in such a renowned museum.

Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe kicked off the event with an address to the crowd of 500 brand fanboys (and gals), almost all dressed in the requisite black attire. This is Hublot after all, where All Black is the new black!

Guests lined the walkways of the museum’s winding helix to gaze upon the events below. At every turn, there were projections of Hublot logos and videos – melding familiar art and architecture with the brand’s distinctive style.

Entertainment was provided by three-time Grammy Award winner Wyclef Jean, who engaged the crowd with an infectious mix of tunes ranging from rap and hip hop to R&B and classic rock. There was something for everyone to love.

Wyclef’s ability to engage the audience was impressive. I don’t care what you listen to at home, this guy had the whole crowd dancing. Or maybe it was the endless flow of top-notch libations.  Both were superb.

And the stars were out at the Guggenheim! At every turn there was another Hublot  ambassador or famed brand supporter. Many of the New York Giants were in attendance, as well as the New York Knicks.

Not to be outdone, your PuristSPro mods were out in force. Brand ambassador and Pro golfer Justin Rose even stopped by just to have his photo taken with Andrew and Todd …or something like that.

I’ve lost count of the number of events I’ve attended for the watch community over the years. Admittedly, many of them were for Hublot. Without a doubt, however, this one topped them all!

The venue, the entertainment, the camaraderie - it all came together for an epic evening that reminded everyone in attendance that Hublot is about more than watches. It’s about a lifestyle. Hublot is new, fresh and exciting. It’s an aggressive brand that knows how to energize an audience . . . and it knows how to party!

With three Hublots in my stable, I’m proud to be part of a brand that goes to such lengths to show its appreciation for those who support the brand and what it represents. I’m not sure how Hublot is going to top this celebration, but I am eagerly anticipating to the next 10 Years of All Black!

and thank again for writing it up Todd, it was a great night and met some amazing people. Lots of people seem to have this image and misconception that Hublot's target market is the young 20's or rap stars... this really is not the case, I spoke to loads of collectors during the night (most wearing Hublots) who were from all walks of life and were ages 20 throughout to a polite 60's! The range is so diverse these days from classic to crazy design, in-house chronos to tourbillons, that sometimes
