MTF's post chronicles a unique cross-brand gathering in Singapore, where PuristS, Paneristi, and Hublotifosi met with industry titan Jean-Claude Biver. This event highlights the dynamic nature of the watch collecting community and the opportunity for enthusiasts to engage directly with influential figures. It captures the essence of shared passion that transcends brand loyalties.

Dear Friends,
PuristS Panerisiti Hublotifosi met with Mr Jean-Claude Biver today (5 Oct 2013) for an impromptu discussion. The secret location was The Hour Glass - Malmaison boutique in Singapore.
Champagne, beverages and snacks were kindly hosted by Kenny Chan and Mike Tay of The Hour Glass, as long time purveyors of Hublot in the early years B.B. (Before Biver)

The Paneristi had gathered from the S.E. Asian region for their Annual Dinner and it seemed a good idea to have cross-brand exchanges. Chief protagonist was 'hororgasm' with his 'horo homos'.
We will hold similar cross-brand GTG in future.......it was fun!

Regards,
MTF
The Panerai Luminor PAM1080 is a distinctive interpretation within the Luminor collection, characterized by its specific aesthetic and technical configuration. This reference is notable for its particular dial execution and case finishing, which set it apart from other contemporary Luminor models. It represents a specific period in the brand's production, appealing to collectors who appreciate variations in design and material application within the established Luminor framework.
This Luminor model typically features a robust case construction, consistent with the series' design principles. The movement housed within is engineered for reliability and precision, offering a practical power reserve suitable for daily wear. The crystal protecting the dial is designed for clarity and durability, ensuring legibility and protection for the intricate dial details.
For collectors, the PAM1080 offers a specific point of interest due to its limited availability and unique characteristics. Its appeal lies in its particular combination of elements, which may include subtle differences in dial texture, numeral application, or case treatment compared to more common Luminor references. This makes it a sought-after piece for those assembling a comprehensive collection of Panerai variations.
If they are Paneristi why they are not Hubloisti? :) Best D
First of all, a huge thank you to Horogasm and MTF for bridging a wonderful event ! Here are some photos of the meet up wit Mr CB himself, an extremely inspiring gentlemen ! PuristS settling in before JCB arrived. JCB was at the Singapore Polytechnic, giving a speech, prior to our meet up. CB arriving to the ecstasy of an anticipating audience. Despite a tight schedule, CB got right in and started "in conversation" with the audience There where some tough questions from the crowd, and JCB answer
Fascinating to hear the Hublot story direct from the man himself. Exuding passion and enthausiam that would put one half his age to shame. Most strive to achieve greatness in a life time. JCB has done that 3 times in half a life time. - Blancpain, where it ceased to exist - Omega, the power house that it is today - Hublot ...... that you have to watch the video below (be sure to watch in 720P) Yes, its 25min !
