Nicolas (amanico) revisits the Jaeger-LeCoultre Amvox 7, a collaboration with Aston Martin, to explore its design evolution from the Amvox 2. His post delves into the unique features of the Amvox 7, particularly its innovative double radial power reserve, and prompts a discussion on its place within the Amvox lineage and the broader JLC sports watch catalog.
The Amvox2 represents Jaeger LeCoultre's approach to contemporary sports timing, offered here in the Steel Black series configuration. This 44mm reference positions itself as a substantial automatic chronograph within the Amvox2 collection, distinguished by its monochromatic steel and black dial treatment.
The 44mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a black dial beneath sapphire crystal protection. Water resistance extends to 100 meters, while a fixed bezel completes the case architecture. The steel construction and automatic movement provide the mechanical foundation for this chronograph reference.
This Steel Black series Amvox2 appeals to collectors seeking a modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports chronograph with substantial wrist presence. The 44mm case diameter and black dial configuration offer a contemporary alternative within the Amvox2 range, providing automatic chronograph functionality in a steel sports watch format. The combination of size, materials, and dial treatment positions this reference for collectors focused on modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports complications.
I'm still waiting for my AD searching for 1~!
Nice combination anyhow. Best, Kari
.. I have to say the Amv 7 has a certain eclectic appeal: Like the auto-grill type dial, with this red 2-fold radial PR.. Was a bit tempted to also go for this one; but just for this feature and the exposed 2 subdials, it has quite a premium price difference for a then modified Amv-2.. Nevertheless, these red accents on several parts, give it a dynamic appeal.. Here my current Amvox Duo: Amvox- 1 green " Kermit" Love the British Racing green vs yellow Alarm scale.. And here my Amvox-2 DBS versio
More seriously, a " primitive " Amvox II would be a very good choice... Best, Nicolas
and that shirt with it is super cool touch Over the rainbow Cheers D
Have to say I quite like it! Do you know how many were made in total and how that compares to the 2?
