Alfihar's enduring appreciation for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Amvox 2 Chronograph DBS offers a compelling look into what makes a timepiece a constant source of pleasure for a collector. His detailed breakdown of its aesthetic and technical merits, particularly the innovative vertical release chronograph, provides valuable insights into the design choices that elevate a watch beyond mere timekeeping. This article explores Alfihar's perspective and the community's reactions to this distinctive JLC reference.

The Amvox2 represents Jaeger LeCoultre's approach to contemporary sports timing, offered here in the Steel Black series configuration. This 44mm reference positions itself as a substantial automatic chronograph within the Amvox2 collection, distinguished by its monochromatic steel and black dial treatment.
The 44mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a black dial beneath sapphire crystal protection. Water resistance extends to 100 meters, while a fixed bezel completes the case architecture. The steel construction and automatic movement provide the mechanical foundation for this chronograph reference.
This Steel Black series Amvox2 appeals to collectors seeking a modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports chronograph with substantial wrist presence. The 44mm case diameter and black dial configuration offer a contemporary alternative within the Amvox2 range, providing automatic chronograph functionality in a steel sports watch format. The combination of size, materials, and dial treatment positions this reference for collectors focused on modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports complications.
The Amvox 2 is a great, innovative sports watch. All the best, Jon
This Dbs is less classic than the first Amvox 2 : I know that Amanico will say that the first one is the only one and that JLC made a non limited batch with this second limited série but … the Dbs has a black dial…. And I love black dials… Moreover this Amvox 2 has the best matching design with the Amvox one All the best Ø
This particular model is sitting in my watch box, as the sharp edges of the curved caseback hurt my wrist bones. Otherwise, it would be my only watch. Wear yours in good health Hussam
Or the black dial Duometre 😇
I’m in Paris this week maybe I could see it if you don’t mind. Since you’re wearing it.
I actually REALLY like it! If not even better than the Ti one. Just tried it on.
