Hs111 presents a captivating photo essay on Jaeger-LeCoultre's classic calendar watches, tracing their design lineage from the 1940s to modern Master series iterations. His post beautifully illustrates the enduring charm and distinctive DNA of these timepieces, inviting enthusiasts to appreciate the subtle elegance of JLC's triple date and moon phase complications.

Friends,
We know, that one of the classic lines by JLC, have been their
Calendars, which in part go back to design in the 40ies.

On a personal note, I always have appreciated these classics,
with their unobtrusive, yet charming design & DNA.

So I just wanted to share some few & fresh weekend pics,
featuring these specimens.

I'll start here with 2 Triple Date Calendars, both from the early 40ies,
both with acclaimed design codes, which some consider among
the best, which JLC has ever offered.

Teardrop lugs, white/silver dial, RG indices

TD Ref 464/A

TD, Black Dial

Black TD - a new love

A perfect teardrop Triple Date Duo

And here the DNA prevails also
in the modern Master series

Master Moon TD (1983)

Here one big round & one rectangular:

Master Moon & Reverso Duo Date

Here Reverso vs smaller round DD, black dial

Various shape, various age..

A dynamic Trio

Have to say, love these Classic Calendars;
hope you liked them a bit, as well.

Cheers & Best,
hs

gives the enthusiast ample opportunity to focus on the watch when adjusting the data. Ang a vintage JLC tripple date calendar collection is a cool theme, as Nico is rightfully attesting. Best Moritz

The black dial makes it extra special, I think. All beauties, but that one gets me.
