Hs111 shares initial impressions and quick photos of his new Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic "1958" in stainless steel, offering a collector's first look at this highly anticipated re-edition. His post captures the excitement of a new acquisition and provides valuable early feedback on its design, wearability, and subtle details, setting the stage for deeper community discussion.

Well, friends !
After the aviso of the approaching Geophysics, a visit to my AD
for mine , including some quick pics..

Here just a very short appetizer ;
As most of you have seen the new Geophysic in many pics,
- here just some quick snaps , when visiting my new arrival of the ss version..

Have to say, loved it from the very beginning : right size, really like the crosshair,
- and she has a very nice appeal, with just the right proportions on the wrist as well.

The hands are really nice, in shape and color, so are the luminous dots on the
inside of the bezel, but not on the glass , well visible..

The strap with the tang buckle Is quite nice, but I guess I'll be going to
exchange it vs a blue alligator with blue stiching..
- We'll see..

Have to say, even despite some controversy , about the writing of the name
" Geophysic" in the lower dial third, as "counterpart" of the JCL writing,
I don't feel offended at all;
(but that's maybe, as I am not the lucky owner of the vintage one).

- To be honest, I would have liked it more, if there was no name of Geophysic at all written,
but I can really live with that, pretty easily..

Thus, first impressions: really quite good ones, if not excellent..

- Hence, welcome Geophysic "1958" - I am happy about your arrival !

. These just some humble first impressions - I'm sure you will read many more..

Best, hs

First en face look.. Balanced and low-key, IMO.

.. One has to say that the RG and the PT are looking great ! I guess, especially the Pt, with the " More-Vintage-Design" will find her lovers quickly, I am convinced.. - Here some few more thoughts, humble 2 cents: ~br> But the prize tags on these two precious metal ones, are pretty hefty, for " just a 3-handed watch". - nevertheless, for me, I am happy with the ss-choice and she's really looking well on and off my wrist .. The only little nagging itch has been the tough question, how much in re
