AllThingsWatches revisits the Jaeger-LeCoultre Amvox 2, a timepiece he previously owned, highlighting its enduring appeal. His decision to reacquire this specific reference underscores its unique design and technical innovation. This article explores why the Amvox 2 continues to captivate collectors, nearly a decade after its initial release.

The Amvox2 represents Jaeger LeCoultre's approach to contemporary sports timing, offered here in the Steel Black series configuration. This 44mm reference positions itself as a substantial automatic chronograph within the Amvox2 collection, distinguished by its monochromatic steel and black dial treatment.
The 44mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a black dial beneath sapphire crystal protection. Water resistance extends to 100 meters, while a fixed bezel completes the case architecture. The steel construction and automatic movement provide the mechanical foundation for this chronograph reference.
This Steel Black series Amvox2 appeals to collectors seeking a modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports chronograph with substantial wrist presence. The 44mm case diameter and black dial configuration offer a contemporary alternative within the Amvox2 range, providing automatic chronograph functionality in a steel sports watch format. The combination of size, materials, and dial treatment positions this reference for collectors focused on modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports complications.
Did you lose or make money in the process? Their pricing seems rather stable for some years now. This one is clearly on my wish list, technically, it is an achievement! Best, E.
Mine is my go to track day watch. It’s super light and sporty and I like the Chrono for timing student’s sessions. I have the same strap but with red stitching.
At least these few above on the list: TT1931, maybe True second, Breguet 5207, and then this one. So it will be a few years hunt But maybe seeing this marvel in real could change my mind Best, E.
I am pretty confident in my tastes! I may have an opportunity to purchase one of these this year, so there will be one less on the list Best, E.
Have you ever seen the AMVOX7? How does it compare to the 2? Its design is very nice!
The radial power reserve is nice, but I prefer the Amvox II.
