There are two ways Jaeger Lecoultre is exploring, when it comes to high end watches: Sophistication and elegance is the first one ( see Gyrotourbillons, for example ), or Innovation, and the Extreme Lab One and Two are excellent illustrations.

Especially the Extreme Lab One, which is an " oil free " watch due to its technical materials ( movement but also case ).

This Extreme Lab One is a kind of sea snake. Indeed, there are very few chances you see on in the real life, with only 3 to 5 watches made per year, since 2007 and for a few years, only.

Here it is:

I am really looking forward to seeing something in that vein, in a close future!

Best,

Nicolas

This is a welcome boost to my late afternoon! This was the original JLC "concept watch" that came to life. In spirit, it feels like the semi-serialized adopted brother of the original UN Innovision. While I've taken a break from collecting, I might have to jump if one of these mermaids ever surfaced. Best, Tim

Extreme lab, one would think, is a place to try new ideas on concept watches, which, unlike in cars, seem to almost never make it/trickle down into future production models. So I don't think this is what we will see come the end of April. Here is a peak at my t

I've always had a big attraction for the Extreme Lab One, but never felt there was any chance of obtaining one. Nice photos, too. M4

Legitimate sport tough precision tourbillon in a modern multimaterial case!? Killer. If JLC released this in 2020 it would be a hit. Lambert era JLC was so ahead if it's time its hard to see how even current day JLC could ever product something like this today.
