Rovermark proudly unveils his new Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Jubilee, sharing initial impressions and comparison photos with his Master Ultra Thin 38. This post celebrates the exceptional thinness of the Jubilee model, a standout release from SIHH, and delves into a common collector's dilemma regarding strap choices.

As those of you who responded to my teaser post guessed my Master Ultra Thin Jubilee has arrived! Here are a couple of quick photos. Sorry about the quality. I'll try and shoot some better ones in the near future.

It's amazing how thin this watch is. I really don't think that pictures fully capture it.

4.05mm=Fantastic

Just for comparison here's the Jubilee with my Master Ultra Thin 38. I have to admit that I was thinking that I would sell my MUT 38 when the Jubilee arrived. However, seeing them side by side makes me think that there is room in my collection for both.

Even though the MUT 38 seems a bit bloated these days, at a full 6.3 mm, it is still a great watch ; )

There is one thing I need to mention. In most of these pictures the Jubilee is on a different strap than the one it came with. I currently have it on a dark blue lightly padded strap from a Reverso. The Master Ultra Thin Jubilee ships on a non-padded high-gloss black strap.

While I loved the thinness of the strap I really didn't care for the high gloss finnish. It's just too dressy for me. I have a matte black strap on order. Until it arrives then the Reverso strap will just have to do.

I got the call to pick up mine as well, which I can't get until next week due to business travel. I can't wait and your pictures don't help!

between the two. But at just 4mm, I find it too thin for my liking. The 38mm MUT is my prefered choice including its lively dial. But it's just me. Melvin

The side-view pictures really explain the design and proportions beautifully! Can't wait to see it in the metal. -Dean

The MUT 38 and the Jubilé are so different ( case and dial, case back ) that you can consider owning both of them. The MUT Jubilé is clearly one of the winners of this year, all brands included. It gave birth to a new concept: The Spectacular elegance. ;) I am totally in love with this case! Bravo, once again, my friend. Best, Nicolas
