But I think I may be edging towards the original slightly more? The silver dial is a very clean, sober, and stealth look which suits the watch very well in my opinion.

the kind of watch I would recommend for a friend as an "only one watch". In that case one might go for the silver dial - that would be a great watch to have if you just wanted one good watch. A very, very good choice. I'm am being deeply subjective now, but that is how I have always thought of this watch. Not a special piece in a collection of watches.
