Emmanuel (quattro) brings to light the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon, reference Q169242J, a timepiece he observes is conspicuously absent from common horological discourse. His post invites the community to consider whether this lack of attention is justified, prompting a deeper look into its unique complications and design. This discussion serves as a valuable re-evaluation of a potentially overlooked JLC masterpiece.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon, ref. Q169242J is almost never talked about.

Rightfully so? What do you think?

The pink gold case measures 41.5 x 12.1 mm and the watch is powered by self-winding caliber 983 which features a tourbillon, a moon phase display and a radial date jumping over the tourbillon (from the 15th to the 16th).

Best, Emmanuel

There is a confusion between the family name ( Ultra Thin ) and the thinness of the watch ( which is not Ultra Thin with more than 12 mm high ). A serious looking watch, accurate, but which never sang to me.

For that price, there is much better to find... Best, Nicolas

Oh, yes! This one doesn't come even close! It's night and day, really.

It is a beautiful Jaeger-LeCoultre but as already pointed out not an Ultra Thin watch, it is not even Extra Thin even if it does have a Tourbillon.

Yes, as amanico mentioned, the "family name" (ultra-thin) does not correspond at all to the actual 12.1 mm of thickness!

Best, Emmanuel
